These are some of the engine maintenance services we offer.
Fuel injection is a system for admitting fuel into an engine. Since 1990, fuel injectors have completely replaced carburetors as the primary means of getting gasoline into the engine. A fuel injector atomizes the fuel by forcibly pumping it through a small nozzle (under high pressure). Failure of the fuel injection system means poor performance and ultimately destroys the engine. Make sure your vehicle's fuel injection system is maintained properly. For all your fuel injection maintenance and replacement needs, call 801-444-3787 or visit Extreme Auto today.
An ignition system is a system for igniting (using an electric spark) a mixture of fuel and air in a gasoline engine. A properly working ignition system means a properly starting engine and high performance from your car. For all your ignition system maintenance and replacement needs, call or visit Extreme Auto today.
Ignition Wires & Cables
Ignition cables also known as spark plug wires are an important part of your car's ignition system. They transfer the spark from the ignition coil to spark plugs that ignite the mixture of fuel and air. The mixture starts the engine. Over time, ignition wires and cables get weak and break down. This makes it impossible for the spark to reach the engine cylinders. This results in the engine misfiring. The car will eventually fail to start. If it does start, it will run poorly. Common symptoms of faulty ignition cables and wires are: poor gas mileage, engine misfires, engine light is on, and engine may vibrate. If your car needs new ignition cables and wires, call or visit Extreme Auto in Layton, UT 84041. Here, you will have the wires and cables changed by a top-rated mechanic.
A spark plug delivers electric current to the combustion chamber from the ignition system. Spark plugs that haven't been changed for a long time can cause ignition problems. At Extreme Auto, we have automotive experts who will check and replace your spark plugs. For all your spark plug repair or replacement needs, call 801-444-3787 or visit Extreme Auto today.
Oil, Lube, and Filter
To keep running smoothly, your car highly relies on oil, lube, and oil filters. Oil helps in lubricating, cooling, and cleaning the internal engine components. With time, motor oil becomes contaminated. Your car needs an oil, lube, and filter change every three months (or 3,000 miles). When it is time for a lube, oil, or filter change, take your vehicle to Extreme Auto in Layton, UT 84041.
Check Engine Light
No one likes to see their car's "Check Engine" light come on. The light could mean a costly problem, like a bad catalytic converter, or it could be something minor, like a loose gas cap. At Extreme Auto, we can pull the code and diagnose the problem for you. Give us a call at 801-444-3787 or stop by the shop for our expert assistance.
They have worked on my car multiple times in the last 4 plus years, and I always get excellent service and good honest work. Nobody else works on my car, period!
Very honest, which is hard to find in an auto repair shop. They have worked on multiple vehicles of ours and other family members, and we have all been very satisfied. I even took my car in once for a check engine light, and they did a full diagnostic for free. They really take care of you once you're a customer. Not to mention, Cindy at the front desk, is an absolute sweetheart.
Because of Extreme Auto, my car has over 230,000 miles and runs great. I get cost effective problem solvers with repair service I can depend on.
Finally found high quality and confidence from a team I can trust.
After many years of having my car repaired at the dealership, I have found that Extreme Auto does all repair and maintenance work quicker and less expensive. Extreme Auto always has time for me.
Not knowing anything about cars or car repairs, I have worried that other shops were taking advantage of me. Extreme Auto was different. They took care of my questions and gave me my worse case scenario bid, and there were no surprieses. They even had my car done the same day I brought it in.
They know what they are doing and had my car ready really fast and cheap!
Trudy at the front desk was wonderful. I took my Mom's car in to be inspected. When it didn't pass, they charged me 1/2 price and offered to have me bring it in a few days later and have it retested, which I did. It flunked again. Jr was very patient and suggested that I drive the car 30 miles and come back again. Third time was a charm! I appreciate it their Customer Service and their professional demeanor. 5 stars. I'll take the car there again.
They are fantastic! Always helpful and honest. Good prices. quick service!
Extreme Auto is an honest, dependable, trustworthy, cost-effective choice for car repair. I've taken my cars to Extreme Auto for more than four years, after they were recommended to me by an auto parts store. Even more than their expertise with cars, I value their ability to advise me regarding possible solutions to my car problems. They tailor their recommendations to me, to my personal situation. They hire the very best people; from their innovative and effective mechanics to the wonderfully efficient and sensitive receptionist. It's nice to have someone understand the frustrations and stress of having a car not work. Here is the bottom line: Extreme Auto is worth your trust. They will find a way to solve your car repair problems. Extreme Auto has the mechanics and staff you are looking for. Problem solved.
I've dealt with Extreme Auto twice, and I am very impressed with them. I had a broken head gasket in my Ford Ranger. I shopped around and found that their prices were comparable to other mechanics. They did a great job. I have had no further problems with my truck, and it has been three years now. The other time, my wife went in with a check engine light on her Honda Civic. They ran a diagnostic check, and told her it was just a gas cap problem, replaced the gas cap, and sent her on her way. Very honest I would recommend.
